Stability restored in Gandatwisa after minor’s demise – World News Network

Gandatwisa (Tripura) [India], July 18 (ANI): Following recent disruptions in Gandatwisa, a subdivisional town under Dhalai District, the situation has stabilized significantly due to prompt and decisive action by the Tripura Government.
The turmoil, triggered by the unfortunate demise of a minor, saw immediate intervention from the Minister and senior leaders, guided by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha.
Dr Saha, known for his unwavering commitment to fair and unbiased governance irrespective of caste, community, or creed, emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and order.
Under his leadership, the government took drastic administrative steps overnight to bring the situation under control.
As a result, Gandatwisa has returned to normalcy. Shops, markets, offices, and other public activities are operating smoothly, reflecting the successful efforts of the Tripura Government to restore stability and ensure the well-being of its citizens.
The prompt response has been widely appreciated, reinforcing the government’s dedication to maintaining harmony and order throughout the state.
On July 13, the Dhalai district administration imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 in the Gandatwisa subdivision, formerly known as Gandacherra after a person was allegedly attacked and killed by four miscreants, officials said.

According to officials, four persons were arrested and sent to judicial custody in connection with the incident on July 12.

“All four people who are responsible for the death. They have been arrested and sent to judicial custody. The person who was attacked died on Friday (July 12). The mortal remains were brought back. Considering the law and order situation, we have promulgated prohibitory orders Section 144 since Friday morning,” Dhalai District Magistrate Saju Vaheed had said. (ANI)
