One dead and two injured in Mumbai hit-and-run case – World News Network

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 15 (ANI): A hit-and-run case occurred in the Dahisar area here on Friday where a speeding car hit a bike, leaving one individual dead and two injured.
The deceased has been identified as Aditya Velankar (17) and the injured have been identified as Piyush Shukla and Karan Rajput (18).
The incident occurred when three friends, Piyush Shukla riding a two-wheeler, and Aditya Velankar with Karan Rajput on a bike were returning from the nearby Shailendra High School in Dahisar East and were hit by an unknown speeding car.
As per police officials, Karan had fallen on his left side after the car hit his bike and his friend Aditya fell on the right side and suffered from serious head injuries and was bleeding from his ears and nose.
Aditya was taken to the nearby hospital by his friends where the doctors declared him dead.
The Dahisar police are scanning the CCTV footage of the accident site to identify the car owner and have launched a search operation.
An FIR has also been registered under sections 106 (1), 125 (A), 125 (B), 281 and the Motor Vehicle Act.
Earlier, on September 7, one person died and another person was severely injured after a speeding car hit two workers, Mumbai police confirmed.
Two workers of Mulund Cha Raja Ganpati Mandal were hit by a speeding early morning at 4 a.m., leading to one person dying and another person being in critical condition.
The incident happened on the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The police are investigating the matter according to the police, Navghar police has registered a case and are searching for the driver.
“Two workers of Mulund Cha Raja Ganpati Mandal were hit by a speeding car, one died and one is in critical condition. The incident happened at 4:00 am. Police have registered a case and are searching for the car driver,” said a statement by Mumbai Police. (ANI)
