Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 29 (ANI): As the monsoon continues to dominate the weather across the state of Madhya Pradesh, the Indian Meterological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for various parts of the state on Monday.
“During the last 24 hours, rainfall was recorded at some places in districts of Chambal Division, some places in districts of Rewa and Shahdol Division, many places in districts of Gwalior Division, most of the places in districts of Bhopal, Indore, Narmadapuram, Ujjain, Jabalpur, and Sagar Divisions, and weather remained generally dry in remaining districts of all Divisions,” stated IMD.
“There was no significant change in maximum temperatures in all the Divisions. They were much lower than normal in the districts of the Indore Division. The minimum temperatures were below normal in the districts of Namakkal, and Ujjain divisions and normal in the districts of the rest of the divisions,” stated IMD.
“There was no significant change in the minimum temperatures in the districts of all the divisions. They were above normal in the districts of Gwalior, and Sagar divisions and normal in the districts of the rest of the divisions,” stated IMD.
On Monday afternoon, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited the Flood Control Room for monitoring and assured that there should be no loss of lives and tragic incidents due to rain in the state.
“I visited the Flood Control Room for monitoring. This monsoon season, there are huge dams on rivers…There should be no loss of lives and no untoward incident should take place. Learning a lesson from the basement incident (in Old Rajinder Nagar), which occurred in Delhi, directions have been issued for all District Collectors, SPs, NDRF teams and others to coordinate and ensure that nothing untoward happens,” said the Chief Minister.
