Chamoli (Uttarakhand) [India], August 22 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday reached the ancestral residence of Havildar Basudev Singh at Sarkot in the Gairsain district who lost his life during duty in Leh-Ladakh and expressed condolences to his family members.
The Chief Minister said that Havildar Basudev Singh has made the supreme sacrifice while protecting the country, for which the whole country will remain indebted to him.
The Chief Minister said that the state government stands with the family of the deceased officer. He assured all possible help to the family of the killed Havildar.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted an aerial survey and field inspection and inspected the damage caused due to the cloud burst and heavy rains in Ghutu, Panjya, and Devling areas of Ghansali tehsil of the Tehri Garhwal district.
Speaking to reporters, Dhami said that he has instructed the District administration to assess all villages where the incidents took place and directions have been provided to help all the people who have been affected by the calamity.
